Care guide
Caring for your florals
01 — Priority
Keep stems in water
All stems should be fully submerged at all times. Flowers drink more than you'd expect — top up the vase daily.
02
Trim at an angle
Cut at least ½ inch off each stem at a 45° angle before placing in water, and again each time you change it.
03
Change water every 2–3 days
Empty, rinse, and refill with fresh cool water. Bacterial buildup is the main reason fresh flowers fade early.
04
Use the flower food
Add the included packet when you first arrange your blooms, and again each time you refresh the water.
05
Avoid heat & direct sun
Keep away from heating vents, appliances, and sunny windowsills. Warmth accelerates aging significantly.
06
Keep away from fruit
Ripening fruit — especially bananas and apples — releases ethylene gas that speeds up petal drop.
07
Refrigerate overnight
Place your arrangement in the refrigerator overnight if possible. This can add several days to the life of your blooms.
08
Remove fading blooms promptly
Aging flowers release compounds that accelerate the decline of healthy ones. Remove spent blooms as they fade.
Expected lifespan by variety — with proper care
01 — Priority
Dust regularly
Use a soft brush, feather duster, or cool hair dryer every one to two weeks. Compressed air works well for intricate arrangements.
02
Deep clean periodically
Lightly mist with mild soap solution and wipe with a soft cloth. Air dry completely. Never submerge faux florals in water.
03
Keep out of direct sun
UV exposure breaks down dyes and can make petals brittle over time. Indirect or ambient light extends their life significantly.
04
Reshape stems & petals
Most stems have a wire core. Gently bend and reposition petals and stems to restore the arrangement's original look.
05
Avoid high humidity
Bathrooms and damp spaces can degrade fabric-based petals faster. Ask us about silk or plastic options for humid rooms.
06
Add scent if desired
One or two drops of floral essential oil applied to the base of a stem adds fragrance without affecting the arrangement's appearance.
